PayU launches Google Pay for online retailers in Europe, including the Czech and Slovak markets
Barbora Tyllov√°, country manager PayU for Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary

Online merchants cooperating with PayU in Europe, including the Czech and Slovak markets, have a new payment method available on their websites and in mobile applications. Payments using Google Pay can be made on all devices (smartphones and computers) regardless of your operating system, browser, or bank. Those who use paywall will not have to interfere with their integration, a new button will appear on the PayU paywall.

Google Pay (formerly Android Pay) is a simple and fast way to pay with a card that does not have to be entered every time. Card details are securely stored by Google.

The Czech online market is constantly growing and there are many opportunities for Czech traders to implement innovative financial solutions. In PayU we want to create an ecosystem for all online customers so that they can use the most modern and convenient payment methods anytime and anywhere. Google Pay is one of the best examples of such solutions that we have already proven in other markets where PayU operates.

For users to pay for online purchases via Google Pay, they must store their card information in their Google Account. This can be done from pay.google.com or through the Google Pay mobile app. Google Wallet payments on e-shop websites are available not only on Android phones but also on iOS phones.

Merchants can use two different Google Pay integration models, both for web and mobile PayU solutions. The first one is a hosted web checkout, the second is a widespread integration. We will be glad to provide details and benefits of each to all merchants.

The first service to test the new solution in practice is the Bezrealitky.cz portal, which belongs to the technological pioneers in their segment and directly connects property owners with people interested in housing.
